Week 24: Dana, Helena, Marcus and Pirjo

Monday 13.6.2016

The crew was met by exceptionally calm weather with clear skies and low wind speeds. Marcus started preparing for the solar panel installation process and the rest of the crew participated in various maintenance tasks.

As the day neared its end the first solar panel was suspended on the wall.

Home sweet home.

Tuesday 14.6.2016

On Tuesday the wind picked up slightly. Ilpo and Helena inventoried the kitchen shelves thoroughly and compiled a very detailed list of all the food items in the kitchen. Pirjo cleaned the sauna with flax soap which left the sauna smelling pleasantly.

Despite the sometimes rough winds, the solar panel project proceeded as planned and two more panels were up on the wall at the end of the day. Just one more to go!

Wednesday 15.6.2016

The crew was once again greeted with clear skies and sunny weather which allowed for some outdoor work. Ilpo gave the freshwater tanks a much-needed wash and the solar panel installation proceeded some more. By early afternoon the fourth and last panel was fastened securely.

The evening culminated in a somewhat festive dinner despite a continuous struggle with the stove.
